- We are trying some delicious Mexican food here in Slade, Kentucky, near the Red River Gorge. Let's get into it. Roll that intro. (upbeat music) Hi all. Keith here.

I think we found one of the most popular restaurants in Slade, which is La Cabana, a Mexican restaurant. There was a pretty good size wait outside and I'll show you the parking lot here in one second, but we decided to get it to go because this place is straight-up packed.
They're even parking in the other parking lot next door just to get in here. So anyway, we ended up getting it to go and we're gonna take it back to the cabin. But anyway, let's get a quick spin around this parking lot and I'll show you what I mean about how busy it is. I mean, just check this place out. It's like wall to wall people and people are even parking like over here to get into this restaurant, but there you go.
It's La Cabana right here, right next to the Natural Bridge, actually. So instead of waiting we're gonna take it back to the cabin like you said, but we'll show you what we got in one, one second for you. All right. Here's what I'm working with. The burrito supreme.
It looks delicious. I'll let you know how it is in a second.
How are those tacos, Nathan? - They're good. - [Keith] Delicious.
Lauren got a steak, didn't you? - Yeah, I'm eatin' the French fries right now. - It's tender enough to cut with plastic wear. Flimsy plastic wear. - [Keith] Awesome.
They gave us chips and salsa with them. Just came with it and Chrissy got the arroz con pollo. It looks pretty delicious. There's like rice and tortillas and chicken in there. We'll let you know how it is in a minute.
We're only a few seconds in and I can already tell I'm gonna like this dinner. The salsa, I always judge a Mexican restaurant by the salsa.
And I would give it two thumbs up. The salsa is delicious and I tried my burrito supreme. Excellent.
What are your initial thoughts, Chrissy? - It's very good. - [Keith] You like the salsa? - Yeah, I enjoy the salsa too. It's been a while since we've had authentic salsa.
- [Keith] I know, right. Delicious. How was your steak over there, Lauren? - 5 million thumbs up. - [Keith] Ooh, 5 million thumbs up.
And were those tacos delicious? - I like their tacos. They're good. - Awesome. Woo hoo!
I tell you what, I am stuffed. That was delicious. My personal take is, that is a great place to stop here, In the Red River Gorge area is Slade, Kentucky.
Personally. I give it two thumbs up.
What'd you think of it, Chrissy? - Arroz con pollo, pollo, however, you say it. Very good. Very, very good. - [Keith] Delicious.
- Yes. I'm too full though. They give you way too much to eat and I ate it. - [Keith] They do. Did you like your steak Lauren?
- Mm-hmm. - [Keith] How about you? - I liked the tacos. Yeah, they're really good. - Nathan also tried the salsa and he approved of the salsa he tried a little bit of all of our meals and he liked them all.
So Lauren even liked the salsa, Chrissy pointed out. So I'm gonna say that this place is a win and a must-visit if you're in the area.
