Hi everyone good evening Today we are doing live streaming for Dallas. Please to meet you all for the first time my name is Makiyo. For our first video, we are doing a special Taco Store. Since Texas food has a lot of Mexican influence there is also a lot of Mexican style food here It is a bit noisy at the moment We are here at a famous chain store called” Velvet Taco” There are approximately 5 stores, Today we are here at the store in uptown Today's focus is these!
We've ordered 3 special Tacos To start out with we have vegetarian's favorite Poke' Oh no, I mean pescatarian's favorite They substituted the tortilla using lettuce, inside they have raw tuna as their topping Nashville's tofu flavor Nashville is in Tennessee State It is very famous for their spicy hot chicken They have pickles in between using tofu substituting Chicken Lastly, we have Char siu pork pun in the menu They even have mango to go with the meat.
When we order it the waiter at the register told us What made this char shu very special is that Velvet Taco works directly with the local pig farm, Unfortunately, the pig farmer's son has cancer By purchasing this flavor it goes directly into helping pig farmers' son Let dig right into these 3 tacos Lets the first dive right into the Char Shu pork meat Look at the wonderful mango Bon appetit It is kind of hard to eat a taco without making a mess It is fabulous ~ This Char siu has that bit of caramelization that reminds me of teriyaki mixing with mango's sourness I see a great fusion of east and west.
This is America after all But in Japan, this dish would probably be called subuta instead of Char Shu There is that extra zestiness It is delicious especially when the meat is so soft and tender Let's keep moving Do I have to finish it in one bite?! That's hard Over here we have tofu substituting for meat, here we go Kind of hard to finish it in one bite I don't think I could finish it in one bite so I'm just going to use my hand It is wonderful It is a bit spicy! The crispy coating for the tofu has a bit of kick to it It's tricky but the softness from the tofu really mellowed it out I love this new sensation Tofu The crispy coasting mixing the healthy tofu is just great Moving on Poke'!
I love how lettuce wrapped up all the flavor wonderfully I believe the Japanese are going to love this flavor They have seaweed adding a bit of texture to it I apologize for making this a mess I taste a bit of soy sauce flavor It is delicious and this will be our short introduction to their menu, however, this is only a small part They have more than 10 flavor love to try them all For one person having one taco, it is definitely not enough for lunch I think having 2 or 3 tacos will fulfill your hunger There are other stores besides the one in downtown That's all for Velvet Taco I'd like to put out more content next time Hope to see you soon~
